“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I
fear? The Lord is the strength of my
life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
“Show me Your ways O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You
are the God of my salvation; on you will I wait all day.” (Psalm 25:4,5)
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at
God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
(Hebrews 11:3) He spoke and it was so!
“For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded and it stood
fast.” (Psalm 33:9)
“For the Word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done
in truth. He loves righteousness and
justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens were
made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.” (Psalm 33:4,5,6)
God is mighty in glory and strength. We are to “worship Him in the beauty of holiness”
(Psalm 29:2)
In Psalm 29 we read that God’s voice is over the
waters. The God of glory thunders over
many waters. The voice of the Lord is
powerful and full of majesty. The voice
of the Lord is so powerful it breaks the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of
fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the
wilderness. The voice of the Lord makes
the deer give birth and strips the forest bare.
God is the creator.
“Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world
stand in awe of Him”. (Psalm 33:8)
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall
continually be in my mouth….Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His
name together. I sought the Lord, and He
heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:1,3,4)
In Psalm 34:7 and 8 I hear the Lord’s voice in His Word
telling me that “the angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
and delivers them. Oh, taste and see
that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him”.
I trust the Lord. I
hear His voice. I fear and reverence His
Holy name. His Word directs, comforts,
and heals me. He is my refuge and my
hiding place; my strength, my joy, and my salvation.
